In this week's Parsha weed read about Noach or Noah in the English transliteration. Noach was a man who lived righteously even when those around him thought it was not important or even worse thought Noach was crazy for doing it. Noach obeyed G-D's word even at a time when the modern thinking of the day didn't agree and made excuses why mankind didn't need to obey. After all those thing Noach believed and preached were about a G-D no one had ever seen. Noach also preach about "rain" in a time when it had never rained. In our day and timed those of us who still stand upon the entire Word of G-D sometimes look to those around us as Noach did. People tell us we are old fashioned. That we are living in the past. That the smartest people of our day consider the Holy Scriptures just fables and stories. However, just as the people of Noach's day realized that what G-D said was true. People of our day will also find out that G-D's word is still true. Just as Noach preached righteousness and lived righteously we must also do the same. G-D never changes and neither does His word. And just as Noach was preaching the only hope the world of his day had. We are also to preach the only hope our world has. That hope is Messiah Yeshua.

Parsha Noach is one of the most well know sections of Scripture in the Torah. Children are taught from a young age the story of the Noach and the Ark. The animals which gathered in pairs and entering the Ark. The rains flooding the Earth completely bringing death to all but those on the Ark. Each one of these items is important to the telling of this story however, many times while reading this the events of this Parsh we skip over something that is very relevant to us even today. What I am writing about is that G-D spoke to Noach. None of the events we read about would mean anything to us if we didnt know that G-D spoke personally to Noach. This becomes real to us today only if we understand that as G-D spoke to Noach he also can and does speak to us today. Like Noach G-D speaks into our lives the question is do we listen to His voice? As you read this email today think to yourself am I listening? Am I too busy working for G-D to slow down long enough to listen? Noach according to Scripture was a preacher of righteousness. Yet in the midst of telling the world about G-D Noach never got to busy to stop and listen to what G-D was telling Him to do. This is a very important lesson for each of us. As life gets busier, we can never get to busy to listen to the voice of G-D speaking into our lives.

As we have just begun to read the Torah over again with last week’s Parsha, I was thinking about how many things over the years have also circled around to be seen again. Of these things anti-Semitism is one that I in my life and studies I have seen return to the forefront over and over. We can look in the history books and see that every country that has lifted it voice and armies against the Jewish people has suffered horribly and fallen as a power quickly; many no longer exist today. Yet, even though everyone can see the results of coming against the people G-D has chosen to proclaim His word to the Nations, People still rise up against them. I was asked this week why I thought this was so. My reply is that if hasatan (satan) can kill off the Jewish people then he can prove G-D to be a liar, because the Scriptures speak of the Nation Israel and the Jewish people till the end of time. If they are done away with then the Word of G-D would be untrue. This past week the president of Iran spoke out publicly calling for the destruction of Israel. Anti-Semitism is at a rise throughout the world. It is up to us as believers and followers of Biblical Judaism to stand up and speak for G-D. When I say stand up and speak I am not saying just to use our voices, but our lives as well. To speak out in public but also to speak to those around us, our friends and co-workers, etc. To show the demonstration of G-Ds love, grace, mercy and deliverance power, to proclaim that His Word is true for everyone, is the way to show hasatan is the liar that he is.
